Explainer Animation / Pitch videos

Startup platform (human digital risk and governance)

Summary:

Two pitch videos that made an unbuilt product feel credible and board-ready under a tight deadline.

  • Workflow: Daily progress sharing to catch issues early. Reused UI, fonts, logos, backgrounds, and colours between videos

The Challenge:

Ctrl+Shft needed to pitch a product that had not been fully built yet. The concept is also abstract: measuring and governing human digital risk without monitoring individuals. The videos needed to make the problem feel real and urgent, then make the solution feel professional and trustworthy. There were also real-world deadlines including international pitches and events, so the turnaround needed to be fast without sacrificing polish.

The Approach:

The story structure was problem first. Each video opened by framing the stakes in human terms, then introduced the platform as a way to make risk measurable and governable.

The client provided the rough idea and UI wireframes. From that, scripts were developed and refined, then storyboards were built in detail so the team could sign off visually before animation.

To make the platform feel real, UI screens were polished and 'rendered' with colour, typography, and styling, then animated with clean pacing in After Effects. Once the enterprise version was completed, many assets were reused to accelerate delivery of the education version. Feedback was managed in Frame.io, supported by close communication and late-night production to hit deadlines.

The Results:

The videos were used successfully in investor meetings and helped support fundraising and sales conversations by giving the team a clear way to explain the product in 60 seconds. They continue to be used in presentations and sit on the home page as a high-impact overview.
